SHORT FILM SCRIPT SURGERY

13th & 14th March 2025

Need a fresh pair of eyes to look at your short film script before you submit it to the BFI NETWORK ENGLAND SHORT FILM FUNDING? Or want a fresh perspective on a short film project you’re working on?

Charlotte and Justine have worked extensively as script consultants on short film projects, including a recent BAFTA nominated short and films currently screening on Disney +. It’s a form we truly love!

Due to overwhelming demand from filmmakers and screenwriters at this busy time - we’ve cut our regular Short Film consultation price of £95 and responded by creating The Script Factory Short Film Surgery with 45 minute feedback sessions via zoom available for just £50.

If you want honest, professional and constructive feedback to elevate your project - sign up now for one of the limited Short Film Surgery slots.

How it works

The Script Factory’s Short Film Surgery will take place on 13th & 14th March 2025.

This is a limited offer. Our £50 slots are only available on these days. Scripts must be no longer than 15 pages.

If you have a script that you’d like to discuss with us, please select one of the available time slots and email charlotte@scriptfactory.co.uk to book. We will issue you with an invoice via Stripe and your slot will be confirmed once payment is made.

We will need your script 48 hours in advance of your meeting so that we can read it carefully and prepare our feedback.

A zoom link will then be sent to you and we are very happy for the meeting to be recorded. (Please note that if you’d like a recording, you will need to ask us to record once the meeting starts).

“I worked with Justine on two narrative projects and both became exponentially stronger thanks to her input. Her approach strikes the perfect balance between detailed notes and big picture discussions.

Whilst she's able to forensically explore the nuts and bolts of how a story functions, she always keeps an eye on the filmmaker's intention and lets this inform any discussion points or ideas she presents. She is also adept at planting a seed about where a story might go, making it feel like an exciting possibility rather than a scary upheaval. I would undoubtedly work with her again and believe she would be an asset to any production.”

“It was a pleasure to be supported by Justine Hart on my short film script.  In each session it was clear she’d taken the time to not only read each draft but had given it, the story and my individual voice full consideration. Her script notes are a writer's dream striking a balance between being positive, encouraging and confirming what areas to improve. Justine has definitely helped me become a better writer who’s now more confident to tell a story and brave enough to celebrate my own unique voice.”
